Pasudeco is a century-old organisation that began in the Philippine sugar-milling industry and later expanded into other sectors. Today it is a holding company of multiple enterprises, investing in utilities, technology and sustainability, and donates 1% of annual revenue to environmental causes.

The challenge

Its diverse investment portfolio means the board needs regular insight into financial performance across many subsidiaries. Previously this was manual — the finance team extracted and consolidated data from various accounting systems before reporting to the board, slowing decisions. Mapping each subsidiary’s financials into the parent was a major pain point, and the on-premise system was only accessible in the office, blocking remote work.

The solution

Chose NetSuite ERP for its cloud interface accessible from any browser and its cost advantage over other solutions. Consolidating and accessing financial data across all subsidiaries became easy, with scalability for portfolio expansion. The results

Operations are more efficient with faster decision-making across the organisation. Managers access real-time insights themselves without asking finance, and no longer need to be in the office to upload data. Shareholder announcements (e.g. dividend declarations) that once used Excel are now easy via bulk email in NetSuite, freeing the finance team for higher-value work. Remaining subsidiaries are still being migrated.
