Welding Alloys Group provides advanced welding consumables, automated wear-protection equipment and engineered wear solutions. Founded in 1966 with 50+ years of experience, it spans 150+ countries through 30+ subsidiaries and 1,000+ employees, with subsidiaries ranging from 2–3 up to 150 staff.
The challenge
The key challenge was creating trustworthy, reliable information in one environment. It initially chose JD Edwards (JDE) to consolidate subsidiaries, but after many delays and only ten subsidiaries onboarded, progress stalled — for smaller 2–3-user sites, JDE became unworkable.
The solution
Chose NetSuite as its global operating system for high adaptability across subsidiary sizes. Initially implemented by another partner but slowed by inefficiencies, it switched to JCurve Solutions to optimise scripts (built by the prior partner) and three key customisation areas for speed — now with 420+ users.
The results
It consolidates finances and operations in real-time across all countries and entities. One JCS-optimised script saves a minute per fulfilment, and with ~2,000 fulfilments/day that’s 2,000 minutes saved daily (~3 man-days per day). Overall system speed improved, and new subsidiaries can be onboarded in as little as three days.
