Jcurve powers growth
in Emma & Tom’s

A healthy whole-fruit food and drink maker needing a system
to scale with international complexity.

Customer overview

Emma & Tom’s is an Australian-owned business founded in 2004 with the brand philosophy ‘Look After Yourself’, making healthy, minimally processed whole-fruit foods and drinks such as fresh smoothies, lightly sparkling juices and snack bars. It distributes nationally from its Melbourne HQ via four distribution centres to over 2,500 outlets.

The challenge

Growth outstripped MYOB — transaction volume overwhelmed it and inventory management was inadequate. Xero was considered but had known limitations. The business needed a system to grow with its international ambitions, supporting multi-warehouse and foreign currency, working flexibly in the cloud without servers.

The solution

Chose JCurve (NetSuite’s SME edition), deployed via partner Outserve, bringing over only essential historical data to focus on growth. It manages inventory, production, planning, payroll and accounting, supporting multi-warehouse and foreign currency for expansion beyond Australia.

The results

It manages multiple inventory locations and stock lines, driving 30% year-on-year growth since implementation in 2013. It handles a wider, more complex product range; fresh foods require zero operational lag, which JCurve meets, and the workforce is more flexible.

We need an exceptional, scalable ERP system capable of managing the width and breadth of our businesses complexity and Jcurve delivers that.
