Customer overview
Mann & Noble Group, founded in 2010 and headquartered in Australia, grew quickly through its ability to scale businesses domestically and globally. Originally known for retail distributing household appliances in AU/NZ/Singapore/Malaysia, it sold that subsidiary to JS Global last year. It now focuses on hotel-equipment supply and beverage manufacturing investments (the Pureau water brand in Australia plus two US drinks/canning businesses).
The challenge
It needed scale to support US expansion. The remaining subsidiaries had run a server-based Sage system for over a decade, unsuitable for US expansion — login via remote desktop was clunky for those outside the office, and rolling the US businesses into Sage would have been nearly impossible.
The solution
Chose cloud NetSuite ERP, having used it in the former retail business and for far easier expansion; NetSuite’s production element met its manufacturing/warehouse needs. Jcurve ran a staged rollout over several months with deep manufacturing discovery, integrated with the existing WMS for automatic billing — orders enter the WMS then push back to NetSuite to create invoices. It uses an AP team in Thailand for global operations.
The results
It’s accessible seamlessly from anywhere, secure and user-friendly, consolidating diverse businesses onto one platform and scaling without adding headcount as fast as before (taking on two US businesses without increasing Australian headcount). Reporting and data access improved greatly, with bill-of-materials control to the cent, brand-level drill-down, and better batch tracking (previously done on paper).
The NetSuite system can be accessed seamlessly from anywhere and the security is strong and user friendly.
